DIY Summer Cookies

For the most fun under the sun, get the family together to decorate classic sugar cookies inspired by summer. Our kit includes a dozen vanilla sugar cookies shaped like suns and ice cream cones, plus icing mixes, decorating sugars and multicolored sprinkles. Just follow the simple instructions to whip up the icings and fill the included piping bags.

Receiving Instructions

• Kit ships fresh at room temperature. Upon receipt, remove package from shipping container and store unopened at room temperature for up to 2 weeks or in freezer for up to 1 month.

Preparation Instructions

Icing Mix

• Combine 1 pouch icing powder mix with 1 Tbs. water. For best results, mix with electric mixer for 5–7 minutes until stiff peaks form. Pour icing into piping bag and push into tip. Cut small hole in tip of bag. See included instructions for details.
• Cookies are best decorated at room temperature. If frozen, remove from freezer approx. 2 hours before decorating.

• Vanilla Sugar Cookies: Butter, sugar, eggs, flour, baking powder, vanilla extract.
• Royal Icing: Albumissimo, powdered sugar.
• Gel Paste Color: Water, sugar, one or more of the following FD&C colors: Blue #1 (E133), Blue #2 (E132), Yellow #5 (E102), Yellow #6 (E110), Red #3 (E127), Red #40 (E129), titanium dioxide (E171), mica pigment, vegetable gum, modified cornstarch, citric acid, less than 1/10 of 1% of: sodium benzoate (preservative), potassium sorbate (preservative).
• Colored Sugar: Water, sugar, propylene glycol, Red #3, Blue #1, modified cornstarch, xanthan gum, potassium sorbate, sodium benzoate.
• Sprinkles: Sugar, cornstarch, partially hydrogenated vegetable oil (cottonseed oil, soybean oil), dextrin, soy lecithin, confectioners' glaze, Red #40 Lake, Yellow #5 Lake, natural flavor, artificial flavor, carnauba wax, Yellow #5, Blue #1 Lake, Red #3, Red #40.
